چکیده

Single-sided etching (SSE) of a-Si/poly-Si is typically considered a challenge for realizing cost-efficient TOPCon production sequence, as there certain degree unwanted wrap-around poly-Si deposition technologies such low pressure chemical vapor deposition, plasma-enhanced and atmospheric deposition. To date, alkaline or acidic wet-chemical solutions in either inline batch configurations are used this purpose. Herein, an alternative SSE process proposed using dry tool, which applies molecular fluorine the gas under conditions. The developed performs complete both as-deposited amorphous silicon annealed polycrystalline layers, intrinsic doped, with measured etch rates >3 μm min−1 at 10% F2 concentration allows typical layer thickness 200 nm just few seconds. also configured to perform excellent edge isolation while maintaining (d rear < 500 μm) opposing-side. successfully transferred industrial solar cell architecture, yielding high parallel resistances (S shunt, avg. > 1500 kΩ cm2), reverse current density (J rev,avg 0.8 mA cm−2) bias voltage −12 V, independently certified conversion efficiencies up 23.3%.

Effect of Temperature on Electrical Parameters of Phosphorous Spin–on Diffusion of Polysilicon Solar Cells

Effects of temperature on electrical parameters of polysilicon solar cells, fabricated using the phosphorous spin-on diffusion technique, have been studied. The current density–voltagecharacteristics of polycrystalline silicon solar cells were measured in dark at different temperaturelevels. For this purpose, a diode equivalent model was used to obtain saturation current densi...

Passivating electron contact based on highly crystalline nanostructured silicon oxide layers for silicon solar cells

We present a novel passivating contact structure based on a nanostructured silicon-based layer. Traditional poly-Si junctions feature excellent junction characteristics but their optical absorption induces current losses when applied to the solar cell front side. Targeting enhanced transparency, the poly-Si layer is replaced with a mixed-phase silicon oxide/silicon layer. This mixed-phase layer...

Application of Au@SiO2 Plasmonic Nanoparticles at Interface of TiO2 Mesoporous Layers in Perovskite Solar Cells

To investigate the plasmonic effect in perovskite solar cells, the effect of depositing Au@SiO2 nanoparticles on the top and the bottom of mesoporous TiO2 layers was studied. First, Au@SiO2 nanoparticles were synthesized. The particles were then deposited at the different interfaces of mesoporous TiO2 layers. Although the two structures show approximately similar optical absorption, only cells ...

Dry etching and sputtering.

Dry etching is an important process for micro- and nanofabrication. Sputtering effects can arise in two contexts within a dry-etch process. Incoming ions cause removal of volatile products that arise from the interaction between the dry-etch plasma and the surface to be etched. Also, the momentum transfer of an incoming ion can cause direct removal of the material to be etched, which is undesir...

Highly-Efficient Plasmon-Enhanced Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells Created by Means of Dry Plasma Reduction

Plasmon-assisted energy conversion is investigated in a comparative study of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) equipped with photo-anodes, which are fabricated by forming gold (Au) and silver (Ag) nanoparticles (NPs) on an fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) glass surface by means of dry plasma reduction (DPR) and coating TiO₂ paste onto the modified FTO glass through a screen printing method. As a ...
